  1. This was fantastic. I was searching for a copycat of a hamburger helper beef stroganoff recipe and found this. Made a few changes. I sauteed some mushrooms with the onions and meat. I omitted the sour cream and flour mixture. Used 3 lbs ground Turkey. Added farfalle pasta during last 15 minutes of simmer Omitted ketchup. Added 4 cups beef broth. .

  2. Made this last night for the wife for the first time. She is not a leftovers person, but demanded half of these leftovers be packed away with her lunch for today :) Very, very good - better than any restaurant version I've ever had! Just like mom used to make!!

  3. Very kid friendly and easy to prepare. I will add just a wee bit more garlic next time. Perfect for a rushed day. MAde for PAC Fall '08 :)

  4. *Made for PAC SPring 2008* This was a quick week night meal. DH thought the ketchup made it a little sweeter than he cared for, but I thought it was quite tasty. Thank You for sharing, with a small amount of tweaking to appease DH this will be a good choice for nights I am short on time. Nick's Mom

  5. A very nice family meal...the husband and kids enjoyed it. I used very lean ground beef. I'd recommend using the leanest possible, or draining the beef after browning it, (then adding the spices) to avoid greasiness. I added in some chopped green bell pepper. I used reduced-fat sour cream, and it was still a great consistancy. I think some thyme would be good in this also. We'll eat this again; thanx for sharing.
