My cousin Tamara Vandegrift Easley said that Mom wrote out this recipe for her 40+ years ago when Tamara was a newlywed. This is from the kitchen of Wanda Cupp Thornburg.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Brown meat in small amount of grease, add salt and onion and brown a little more.
  2. Add 1/2 package chili mix, reheat with med can of tomato juice and two cans of kidney beans, for full recipe.
  3. You can divide the meat mixture in half and only use one can of beans for 1/2 recipe. Put other half in freezer for a week or two and beans when you get ready for next time. Always add beans last.
  4. Simmer on very low heat for 2 hours. Stir frequently.
