    I have this recipe on a yellowed newspaper clipping. We have been making this for Thanksgiving forever. It is a slightly tart, spicy whole cranberry sauce. It is our favorite. We have doubled and tripled it and it is always great.

    Ingredients:

    Serves: 6-8

    Yield:

    Directions:

      Combine sugar, water, cloves, allspice and cinnamon sticks in a 4-quart saucepan. Bring to boil. Cook, stirring, until syrup is clear, about 3 minutes. Add cranberries and cook just until they begin to pop, about 5 minutes.

      Remove from heat, add orange zest and cool. Make at least 24 hours before serving.

      I absolutely love cranberries, & needless to say, have my own favorite recipe for whole berry sauce, but I'm always happy to try new recipes, & yours is great! I have bags & bags of frozen berries so am able to make this stuff all year long & we never tire of it! I particularly enjoyed the use of the cloves & allspice in your recipe! Many thanks for sharing it! [Made & reviewed for one of my adoptees in this Spring's round of Pick A Chef]
