Well, I couldn't find my mom's stuffing recipe so I used this one as it seemed very close to hers. It was fantastic!!! This will be my new "go to" stuffing recipe! I followed the recipe exactly and it was perfect! Thank you so much for posting!

Excellent recipe! This was the first I made stuffing from scratch and needless to say I was very impressed with myself!! The flavors were so good. I was worried about using sausage, since I'm not really a pork person but it was perfect. My husband loved it. In fact, he thought it was better than his mom's! Can't get any better than that.

i used all corn stuffing from a bag. turned out great except i do have to agree w/ others that since i didn't stuff it into a turkey i should have added a little more liquid. other than that will definitely make this again. thanks!

This is an excellent recipe for stuffing. I made it for Thanksgiving and I was pleased with the results. I received several compliments from my family members about how good this was. I used homemade cornbread cubes and toasted french bread cubes as the bread. I omitted the mushrooms, eggs, and salt and used only 1/2 tsp pepper. We like our stuffing on the dry side so I also omitted the eggs as well. I assembled the stuffing the day before and baked it on Thanksgiving day. I noticed that the spices were more dominant the second day and the stuffing was a tad more moist. I thought I should mention that just in case anyone makes this stuffing the day ahead like I did. Thanks crazymom for sharing this recipe. It's a great recipe so I will use it again.

My first attempt at making stuffing and it wasn't perfect... but it was certainly very good. Everyone wanted to give it a try because it smelled sooo yummy. I agree with FromKatesKitchen - this amount makes a HUGE AMOUNT and would easily serve double (16). We had 7 over for thanksgiving and there's no way we'll be able to finish the leftovers....

Very good stuffing but I think it could use a little more chicken broth. Slightly dry. We cooked some in the turkey and some outside and both were slightly dry. I used the full amount of broth but next time I will use more.

I'll be honest here and state that I am NOT a stuffing fan, so when it came time for me to host Thanksgiving, I was in a panic. This sounded decent, so I went ahead and made it... and to my pleasant surprise, it was amazing. Everyone loved it! Thank you!

Made this stuffing for Thanksgiving this year in place of the tried & true one I have always made - we found a new stuffing recipe - absolutely the best. We don't have turkey as our protein as my SIL doesn't care for turkey, had tenderloin and this dressing was a beautiful compliment to the tender beef. I can't wait to make a turkey though and stuff with this as I'm sure it will only be better. Thanks crazymom for posting and giving us our new & improved stuffing.

So I usually make my mom's version of sausage stuffing, which is similar to this, but it doesn't have the cornbread mixed in. I decided to try this and it is WONDERFUL. I tweaked it just a bit because i'm not a fan of nuts in stuffing, so I omitted them, used one extra package of sausage and instead of using regular butter, I used 1 cup of unsalted butter. In the past I have found that salted butter along with the sausage has the potential to make the stuffing rather salty. I can honestly say that this is probably the best stuffing I have ever tasted. Thanks for sharing your fabulous recipe!!!

By far, the best stuffing I've ever had. I loved the added vegetables as most stuffing I've tasted do no have that. I followed the recipe exactly and had no issues with it being to dry, as I saw a few people write... and DID NOT stuff it in the turkey! When everyone talked about their favorite dish after dinner, this stuffing was at the top of their list.

The best stuffing I think I've ever had! I used chicken sausage from Trader Joe's and a bit more broth than suggested. It was out of this world yummy. Thanks!

I made half a recipe and it is excellent. I did use almonds in place of the pecans and added grated Granny Smith apples.

This recipe was so easy to make and very flavorful. I was a little nervous about using mushrooms and nuts but I did anyway and they were so subtle and such a nice compliment. I will definitely be making this stuffing again!

This was great! The only thing I will leave out next are the nuts. They were a soft texture that was not pleasant in my mouth...still five stars as others did not agree with my moputh!

In my family, my MIL really takes the cake with her homemade stuffing, so I normally don't make anything other than the boxed variety-because why compete with near perfection? But whoa- was this good! I halved the recipe, but used all the broth and it was easy and superbly tasty. My only mistake was using pre-seasoned stuffing mix and then also adding salt- a little salty for my tastes, but both DH and I couldn't believe how tasty it was! Thanks for such an easy, tasty, filling keeper!
