Awesome dip! DH and I did not talk at all during dinner (a sure sign that the food is good!) except for the occasional "mmm's" and "oh, this is good". As far as we're concerned, this is the only way to have artichokes now. I made it exactly as written except for the tarragon (I thought I had some but did not). It was wonderful. I cannot imagine how the tarragon could have made it any better! Thank you for posting!
Just made this sauce to have with Tyler Florence's Steamed Artichokes. OMG it is sooooo good. Great even without waiting for the flavors to marry, but if you do let them blend, it is absolutely awesome. I put mine in a small glass canning jar and placed in the refrigerator. Stellar.
Delicious!!!!!! Just what I was looking for and I had all the ingredients on hand. I would add a dab of Dijon mustard rather than cayenne pepper. It goes so well with the mayo.
Loved it, was just perfect with artichokes, would be awesome with a veggy platter.
This is the best dip ever! Really good with deep fried green beans and pickles also.
I would add another STAR if I could! Best tasting artichoke dipping sauce ever!! Very easy to prepare and common ingredients to most home cooks. Love it!
Amazing! Compliments the chokes nicely.
Amazing sauce, my whole family loved it! I didn't have tarragon, but I added about a 1/4 teaspoon of Cayenne pepper and I doubled the garlic (we LOVE garlic). My husband liked it so much he put it on his baked potato. I will use this everytime we have artichokes, and for lots of other things. I bet it would be great on a roast beef sandwich...
So flavorful and delicious as an accompaniment to steamed chokes. Added a little lemon zest, as well, but everything else was as written. A keeper!
Great sauce. Wasn't too crazy about the artichoke but used it on shrimp. Yum.
