This is a basic, simple recipe. Spices may be added if desired. My family likes it just the way it is. Nuts are optional.

  1. Mash bananas with fork.
  2. Stir in other ingredients.
  3. Pour into greased loaf pan.
  4. Bake 1 hour in preheated oven set to 325.
  5. Test for doneness and bake longer if necessary. This bread is very moist and chewy.

Delicious recipe!! I followed it exactly except for adding about 1 cup of walnuts. I had frozen three overripe bananas about a month ago, set them out to thaw, and used them in the recipe. Very simple and easy to prepare. The bread was 'moist and chewy' and crunchy on the outside. Thank you!!
