Momma's Peanut Butter Frozen Pie

My mom served this up one day (she doesn't remember where it came from) and making it for my friends, it's probably the most requested thing for a BBQ - my best friend's husband even asked for it to be his "birthday cake" the last 3 years!

Ingredients:

Servings: 12

BASE

• 1 ½ cups vanilla wafers (I use Nilla wafers)
• ½ cup peanuts , chopped
• 2 tablespoons peanut butter , smooth
• ¼ cup melted butter

FILLING

• 1 (250 g) package cream cheese , softened
• ½ cup sugar
• ½ cup peanut butter , smooth
• 1 liter Cool Whip
• chocolate syrup , to drizzle

Directions:

1. Crush the vanilla wafers and mix well with the other base ingredients then press in the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.
2. With electric mixer, beat cream cheese, sugar, and peanut butter until smooth.
3. Fold in Cool Whip and pour over the crust.
4. Put in freezer overnight.
5. To serve, run a knife under hot water to cut and then drizzle chocolate sauce over it!
