Momma Liz's Sweet & Sour Meatballs

"I like this recipe because my Mother would make this for our family when I was younger. They taste so good. She would make her meatballs and I found some meatballs at Walmart that are really good. But they say fully cooked, but I would cook them for about 45 mins in the oven. There are 80 meatballs in one bag. Cost for these are about $7.00"

  1. I have loved these since I was a little girl. Ours was made with a jar of grape jelly instead of the cranberry sauce, and a tablespoon of Lea & Perrins. My children love these also, especially over rice for dinner.

  2. Found this recipe the other day in a magazine ad for Heinz & Oceanspray, and thanks to ingredients search-discovered it already posted! They call it the "Ultimate Party Meatballs" recipe. Tried it over the weekend and thought they were outstanding! The recipe says to spice it up even more add 1 tsp cumin and 1/4 tsp cayenne (I added 1/2 tsp)- so i did -and would probably not try it any other way now! I used frozen meatballs from Costco, threw everything in the crockpot and let it simmer on low for the afternoon until appetizer time! Yummy, easy and only 3 ingredients...gotta love it!
