My mom came up with this recipe years ago. Only problem was....she never measured anything. So, one day, my sisters and I stood by her while she was making it, insisting she measure each handful!

  1. Brown ground beef with onion.
  2. Drain.
  3. Mix together tomato paste and water.
  4. Add Italian seasoning, wine.
  5. garlic powder, salt, pepper and oregano.
  6. Add brown sugar and mushrooms.
  7. Transfer to a large kettle, then add hamburger/onion mixture and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Let simmer for several hours.
  9. Freezes well.
