Mom Binney's Famous Pumpkin Bars

My Mother-in-law's pumpkin bars are so delicious that I had to give you her recipe. She gave it to me in 1993, and we enjoy them in small squares on the cookie tray at Christmas. You can also bake it in a 13x9x2 inch cake pan for 45-50 minutes and cut into squares.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Grease a 15x10x1 inch pan.
  3. Combine all bar ingredients except nuts and raisins.
  4. Beat at low speed until moistened.
  5. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
  6. Stir in nuts and raisins.
  7. Pour into greased pan.
  8. Bake at 350 F for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  9. Cool completely.
  10. Frosting: Combine all ingredients, beat until smooth.
  11. Frost cake when cooled.
  12. Cut into bars.
  13. Store in fridge.
