Very good, simple recipe. We had to use semi-sweet chocolate chips because we didn't have the bittersweet chocolate. As a result, we cut the sugar by 1/2.
I haven't made this exact recipe, but mine is very similar - it's delicious and I also make it gluten-free. If anyone wants to make them GF, consider using a GF flour mix that has gum in it or make up 1/2 cup of your mix and add just 1/8 t of gum; then use the 2 T of that for this recipe. Another option is to use almond meal, also with a bit of xanthan. 1/4 t per cup of flour for this is enough to keep it from being too runny.
I had these a long time ago and then I found your recipe - these are wonderful! They may look like a lot of work but not really and oh so good. You can serve it with Star Anise Ice Cream or with aCitrus Reduction or just with powdered sugar with Chcolate Nibs, as needed. Very nice, thank you for posting, Diane
