- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 tablespoon blackstrap molasses
- 1 dash fresh lemon juice
directions
- Bring water to boil.
- Put the molasses inches.
- Stir until dissolved.
- Squeeze in Lemon.
- Drink.

I recently became aware that blackstrap molasses is rich in iron and calcium. So, I have been trying to find good healthy ways to incorporate it into my diet. I don't think I especially love the taste of blackstrap, but I like that this recipe is so fast and easy to put together, and it's easy to get down quickly. I did add a tablespoon of honey to this too, because it helped the taste for me. It tastes like a strange but interesting tea. I think I will keep making this. I would think a touch of ginger or maybe even cinnamon might be nice to add to this sometime as well.
