Molasses Jam Cake

  • Bring water to a boil and set aside.
  • Preheat ove to 350F,.
  • Mix oil and sugar, then add beaten eggs and molasses. mix well. Add half of the dry ingredients and mix. Add the hot water, mix and them add the remaining dry ingredients. Mix for two minutes on medium speed.
  • Pour into two prepared 8x8-inch pans and bake at 350F for 40-45 minutes. Cool on a rack.
  • Place jam between layer of cake.
  • MOLASSES BUTTER FROSTING:

  • Add 1 cup confectioner's sugar, egg white and flavoring to creamed butter or margarine. Mix well. Add remaining confectioner's sugar alternately with molasses and milk. Beat well. Frost cake.

Her sweets are fantastics, especially her pound cakes, Yummm <br> <br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
