  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Cream butter, sugar, molasses, and egg.
  • Mix remaining dry ingredients.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  • Add chocolate chips or raisins.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes.

  1. There's no way I'd want to make a decision between using chocolate chips or using raisins, so . . . I included both & ended up with some great tasting cookies, even though I had only a few before allowing my other half to take them to work & share! I particularly loved the combo of molasses, chocolate & raisins, & suspect that co-workers did, too, since they were devoured in less than 40 minutes after being opened at work!
