Used this recipe for our Thanksgiving dinner and did not stuff in the turkey but used the oven method. Didn't have poultry seasoning so added some sage and thyme then followed the directions. It was moist and flavorful and as the kids said "taste like Thanksgiving" couldn't get a better compliment in this house.

Thank you for posting this recipe. This was my mom's classic recipe as well. This is a wonderful adaptation. The stuffing was as moist and as flavorful as if it were in the bird. This will be my preferred stuffing recipe from now on.

Excellent! Very moist and delicious, and reminded me of my grandmother's dressing. I did add a bit of the liver too, and thought it tasted great. Thanks!
