Moist and Delicious Banana Bread

This is the best banana bread I have ever had. I buy really ripe bananas just so I can make this :-) Got the recipe years ago from my friend Rachel. We used to beg her to make this for us in college! I think the moistness is due to the 1/2 cup of oil - I didn't say it was the healthiest banana bread around, but it is worth the extra time on the treadmill!

  2. Add the baking soda and flour.
  3. Combine well for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake in a preheated 325 degree F oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

I baked a loaf of this today and it's basically finished! I made an account just for this recipe! If I could give it 100 stars I would!!! This tasted amazing!!!!!!! It was supper moist, just as it said. Its was easy and pretty quick if you have all your things together before you begin as when you're baking any other thing. The only thing was I took it out when it still had about 9 mins, because it was pretty brown, it was perfect! This was my first time baking banana bread ever. I wont even bother to try much less look at another banana bread recipe it would be a waste! This ones a keeper! Thanks for sharing!!!!

This is the best banana bread base recipe I've found. I reduced the flour and subbed in some wheat germ and chia seeds. I also used 4 bananas and only 1/2 cup brown sugar instead of the 1.5 cups called for. It was definitely sweet enough. I can't imagine how sweet it would be with three times the amount of sugar! It isn't the oil that makes it unhealthy... ;-)
