Mohave Fruit Salad from Kraft

Originally from a Kraft Recipes page in Better Homes & Gardens, 1966, 1967 or 1968, as one of the "cookbook pages" to cut and insert into your BH&G cookbook. (Knowing where I lived at the time determines those years.) A favorite with husband. Kraft's descrition: "A special hearty fruit salad with dates, walnuts, and cubes of Sharp cheddar cheese - great with barbeques, etc."

Ingredients:

Servings: 4

• 2 cups cubed apples
• 1 cup orange section
• 1 ½ cups cubed sharp cheddar cheese (listed as Cracker Barrel Brand)
• ½ cup chopped dates
• ½ cup chopped walnuts
• 1 teaspoon grated orange rind
• ½ cup Miracle Whip

Directions:

1. Combine fruit, cheese, dates, nuts and orange rind. Add salad dressing; toss lightly. Chill.
