I'm not a Mt. Dew fan, choosing originally to make it for fans, yet wow, what a gorgeous and delicious cake! Guess that makes me a fan of the cake. This is going into my Best of 2010 Cookbook. Thanks, kayla carnage. Made for Spring 2010 PAC.

This cake has a lovely flavour. I didn't find the mountain dew taste in the cake itself that strong so I agree that vanilla pudding mix is best to bring out that flavour. The glaze brings out the mountain dew flavour so I'd definitely use mountain dew in the topping again. It is sweet but not too sweet if you take smaller slices. It is very moist so next time I'll try using less oil. Thanks for this lovely recipe! Made for PAC Spring 2010.

Yahoo! I have been a fan of Mountain Dew since it first came out in the early sixties (yes, it is that old!). I don't know why I haven't thought of a cake made with Mtn Dew, but I am glad that I chose this one to try. Yes, it is sweet, but just take smaller pieces! Needless to say, I enjoyed this recipe tremendously. Thnx for sharing it, kayla carnage. Made for PAC Spring 2010. You've been adopted! http://www.recipezaar.com/bb/viewtopic.zsp?t=327498&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Good and moist. My kids thought it was too sweet (if you can believe that!) but I took it to work and everyone loved it. thanks!
