Mock Whipped Cream Substitute

Sure, it's not the real thing. Never pretended it would be. Still, a good substitution.


  1. Mix water and dry milk and chill thoroughly.
  2. Whip to form peaks.
  3. Add lemon juice and continue whipping to form high peaks.
  4. Beat in sugar.

I was surprised when this actually became the consistancy of whipped cream. The flavor was practically nonexistant, but I paired it with a very flavorful pumpkin pudding so it ended up tasting great. I will probably make this again.
