Have not tried it yet, just wanted a recipe on hand for when I would need it. Got it from a Chinese cook book, appears to be pretty close to what you would buy.
- 29.58 ml peanut butter
- 59.16 ml soy sauce
- 14.79 ml honey
- 9.85 ml white vinegar
- 0.59 ml garlic powder
- 9.85 ml sesame oil
- 1.3 ml red hot sauce
- 0.59 ml white pepper
- Combine all ingredients and mix well.
I used this with my recipe for Hoisin-Glazed Tempeh With Green Beans and Cashews. It worked quite well and tasted great!
I just made this to use for Crock Pot Asian-Inspired Beef Ribs because I already had some of the ingredients in the crockpot and discovered I had no Hoisin sauce in the house. It was too late to go to the store so I searched ever-faithful zaar and found this recipe. It is totally awesome and easy to make. I'll never buy store Hoisin again. I can't wait for the ribs to get done to see how they taste. Thank you very much for posting this. You saved my day!!!
