We've made this for several weddings in our family and everyone really likes it.
- 5 cups sugar
- 2 1⁄4 cups water
- 1⁄2 cup lemon juice
- 1 ounce vanilla extract
- 1 ounce almond extract
- 6 quarts ginger ale
- crushed ice
- Heat the sugar and the water slowly until all the sugar is melted, stirring occasionally. Let this mixture cool.
- Add the lemon juice, almond extract, and vanilla extract.
- For every cup of this mixture, put 2 quarts of ginger ale in the punch bowl and add crushed ice.
This punch is amazingly addictive!!! Perfect for many occasions! Absolutely my favorite punch recipe. So beautiful. I got this recipe from a friend and misplaced it. Thanks so much for putting it on food.com I have put it in my "recipe box" and will always know where it is!
