This saved me lots of calories and money and has cured me of my McDonald's frappe mocha addiction! Very good...perfect consistency when I added 1 cup ice plus 2 more ice cubes. Made it with 1/2 cup 1% milk, 1Tablespoon Truvia, made the strong coffee with 1/3 cup warm water and 1 tsp decaf instant, did use the 2 T syrup ( 100 cal) and also added 1 tsp cocoa powder. Overall, this HAS to beat 450 + calories from Micky D's!

Excellent and rivals any you might get at a coffee shop. I added in an extra tablespoon of chocolate syrup. I also concocted a couple simple, yet common variations. Java Chip Mocha Frappuccino: add 2 slightly heaping tablespoons chocolate chips. Peanut Butter Mocha Frappuccino: add 1-2 Tbsp. peanut butter (optional: 1 Tbsp. chocolate chips).

I made this recipe today and it is wonderful! So refreshing on a hot summer day. I used a little more ice than called for so it was a little too icy..my bad! I used my cold brew coffee concentrate (1/3 cup regular Yuban or your choice and 1 1/2cups bottled water, steep 12-24 hours on the counter, strain through coffee filter into jar) and it worked perfectly as a sub for double strong brewed coffee. Thanks, meaty, It'll be a perfect pick-my-up this summer.

Yummy!!! Great coffee drink that is easy to make. I just put in some instant coffee with the milk. The blender mixed it in and it didn't last long. Maybe I need another.

This is a pretty good knock off of the real thing. I'm a Starbucks addict but with 6 kids my pocketbook can't always feed my addiction :-) The only changes i made to the recipe were that i used Hersheys Dark chocolate syrup and only used 1 tablespoon of sugar. I added an additional 1/2 cup or so of ice as well. Great recipe.

Excellent...made this as an after school treat for my 12 yr old daughter and her friends. They think I am "all that and a bag of chips" thanks to you! I used instant coffee and it worked out great. Thx for sharing this extremely economical and delicious treat!

Starbucks bottled fraps are so expensive, and my kids drink lots of them, so to save money, I tried this recipe out. To my delight, it is really, really good. Next time, I will use Starbucks coffee and see if it tastes even more wonderful. Thank you so much for posting this.

My son loved this. So did I. Some other recipes suggested chilling the coffee. I'll try this next time. It took 2 cups of ice to reach the optimal consistency with hot coffee. I used enough coffee for two shots in my expresso maker and made the coffee straight into a 1/3 cup measuring cup.

For low carb version I use half and half instead of milk, hersheys sugar free chocolate syrup and splenda instead of sugar. Plus make the coffee ahead of time and put in ice cube tray and freeze to use in place of the ice. Drink doesn't get as diluted down. Works great in those little bullets!
