This was amazing! I made it today and my family loved it! I used Ghiredelli White Chocolate Vanilla Dream which has vanilla beans in it. Fabulous! Thanks!
Update>>I've made in two more times since this first post. Tonight I actually deviated and used Ghiradelli Semi-Sweet Chocolate instead of white chocolate. Delicious and very rich! It tasted like Chocolate Pot de Creme with a crunchy top! Loved it! Next time I want to use the Chili Dark Chocolate for a spicy kick! thanks again!

Awsome stuff - an amazing version of this wonderful dessert. Save this one for your future wife or husband, and indulge your good friends so they will warm your home. I agree with SaraD202, you have to use the Brulee torch (fire it up).

This was an AMAZING creme brulee and so easy to make. This was the first dessert I have EVER, yes ever, tried to make (I am a 25 year old man). I made the dessert for my wife and followed the directions exactly, with the only exception being that I used a torch in the place of a broiler for the caramelizing. Thank you for bringing my favorite dessert from fine dining into my kitchen!

Turned out perfectly. I used a kitchen torch instead of the broiler because I find it easier but otherwise followed the recipe exactly.

wonderful & easy! I have tried to make creme brulee before & it was a flop. But we love creme brulee & I tried this recipe, which was a huge success and easy! We used the lindt white chocolate with coconut! The kids & DH loved it! I highly recommend, what a treat!

I am a big fan of white chocolate powder. I replaced the sugar and white chocolate bar with 3/4 cup WC powder. I divided it just like the sugar and made according to directions. Then for a bigger bonus I melted dark chocolate chips and a little left over creme to make a ganache topping. My only warning...if you make it ahead of time there might not be any left. Serioulsy incredible. I had to let it cook a little longer too...about 15 minutes more.

I used 1 3.5 oz bar of Lindt White Chocolate with coconut. Oh my! Coconut heaven! Reminds me of ice cream I had in Mexico years ago. Great recipe!!!! Thank you Julesong.

Perhaps my white chocolate is to blame, but this was way too sweet for our taste. Other than that, the creme brulee was very nice tasting indeed. Not 'eggy' tasting either, which is a plus in my book. Thank you for posting.

UPDATED: Loved this recipe! The first time I made this with imported white chocolate..Made this a second time with white chocolate chips; however, after refrigerating the butterfat congealed on top of the creme brulee..not so appetizing...so be warned --DON'T use white chocolate chips.
