A lebanese favorite.
- fry onion in olive oil until golden brown.
- add in lentils, rice, water and salt.
- bring to boil.
- turn down to low/med heat and cook for approx 20 minutes or until rice and lentils are tender.
This is a really nice basic recipe, although I needed to add 6 cups of water instead of 2 cups. Also I added at the end some cumin, cinnamon, and pepper to enhance the flavor.
