  1. Combine 1/4 oil and garlic, stir well.
  2. Let stand at least 30 minutes.
  3. Combine endive,romaine lettuce, iceberg lettuce, cucumber, green onions, avocado, tomatoes, and cheese in a large bowl.
  4. Combine remaining 1/2 cup oil, lemon juice,salt and black pepper, stir well.
  5. Pour dressing mixture over salad.
  6. and toss gently.
  7. Pour garlic mixture over salad and add croutons.
