Mississippi Mud Cake

This delectable dessert comes straight from the banks of the Mississippi River (where we know our mud!!).

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Cream sugar and cocoa with Crisco.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well.
  3. Stir dry ingredients and add to mixture.
  4. Add nuts and vanilla.
  5. Bake in long pan (13 x 9 works) or cookie sheet for 30 minutes at 300 degrees.
  6. Mix icing while cake is baking.
  7. Remove from oven and cover with marshmallows.
  8. Return to oven for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and cool 20 minutes.
  10. Cover with icing.
