I made these over the weekend and they are very yummy, but super sweet. I even omitted the chocolate frosting and swirled in some melted chocolate chips instead and it was still so sweet. I could only eat one at a time, but that's not such a bad thing!
I made these for a pot luck and everyone said they tasted good. Some people absolutely loved them, and others said they were good but too sweet. I thought they were good but too sweet for my taste. I will definately make them again for potlucks. People who enjoy desserts that are very sweet really love these brownies. Thanks for posting this recipe.
this is a real crowd pleaser! it only lasted a couple of hours at my house. i cooked it as dessert for Sunday dinner. i used pecans, use them liberally if you like them. that goes for whatever kinda nut you like.
So rich and yummy! The whole family loved these. A great last minute dessert or pot luck dish, too, as it goes together in a flash. I took JLBurnell's suggestion and used Grandma's Chocolate Fudge Frosting which was extremely easy, but still rich and chocolately. A great combination. This one's a keeper! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
My family LOVED this recipe. In fact, I never even got to try it! My dad called me the next day and asked me if I could come over and make it again. Instead of the canned frosting, I actually made my own and used Grandma's Chocolate Fudge Frosting-"Grandma's Chocolate Fudge Frosting." It was awesome! Thanks Kathy.
Another 'I can't believe it's a cake mix' I have added it to my 'Cake Mix Cookbook' Everyone loved it. Not having used cake mixes until very recently I was absolutely delighted with this recipe. I made as directed but made my own frosting using the micro wave as I always do to make a 'fudgy' frosting Adding the pecans makes for a perfect dessert. Special enough to serve to company with or without the pecans! Thank you for posting.
