Especially suitable for a Kentucky Derby party, but good any time. Preparation time does not include chilling time. Makes 5 1/2 quarts; number of servings assumes 5 oz punch cups.

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Combine the jelly and 2 cups water in a saucepan and heat, stirring, over low heat until the jelly melts.
  2. Let cool.
  3. Add the bourbon, juices and 2 cups water and chill in the refrigerator.
  4. To serve, pour the juice mixture over ice in a punch bowl.
  5. Slowly pour in 7-Up, stirring gently.
  6. Garnish with lime slices and fresh mint leaves, if desired.

Really did not think recipe was very good. Made exactly as instructed and felt it was tasteless.

This will be the 3rd year I serve this at my Horse-Race Pre-Party. I get rave reviews and every year people ask how it is made and where I found the recipe. Needless to say, we take cabs to the race track after our party!

Delicious. Everyone loves the recipe. Much better than mint juleps.
