Needed for husband's favorite cake.
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1⁄4 teaspoon mint extract
- Combine ingredients in a Ziplock bag. Shake vigorously. Let stand overnight.
I could not find mint chocolate chips to save my life, needing them for making thin mint cookies. I used your recipe, although I did double the peppermint extract amount. Using a double boiler I melted the chips down-gave it a good stir and am thrilled with the results! Thanks so much for posting! Di ;-)
What a wonderful simple recipe. I never buy mint chocolate chips because they are so much higher priced the plain ones Now with this recipe I will never have to . Nice subtle minty flavour. I can't wait to try this with orange favouring. Made for PAC Fall 2009
