DH loves these little guys, not only are they great for get-togethers, but they are a quick and tasty way to use up leftover taco meat when it's just DH and I. Guys have fun eating them b/c they get manly-man tacos without all the mess. A great superbowl party food.
Made these to take to a friend's Bday party and they were gone in no time! I made exactly as listed and did not have any problems with sogginess,etc....Just all around great! Even my friends 2 year old loved them! I served them with sides of sour cream, sliced oloves and guacamole so everyone could just add what they wanted. Super easy & yummy!
I liked the taste of these but I found the bottoms got soggy and the outside got too crispy. I decided to try them again but I varied by folding into triangles, sealing each side and then I deep fried them. That seemed to work much better and my guests were much happier with the outcome. In addition, I added more salsa and cheese than the recipe called for.

Easy and fun to make and eat!!! I did put the wonton wrappers in the mini muffin pan (sprayed with PAM) and pre-cooked on 425 for 5 minutes. Then I put the filling and cheese in and cooked for another 3-4 minutes (until the cheese was melted). I watched these closely in the oven so that the edges of the wontons did not burn. These impressed everyone who ate them and they were surprised that it was in a wonton wrapper!
Easy, fun and tastes great! Made several times already. fyi - regular muffin tins seem to work just as well (I don't have mini-muffin tins)
This was a GREAT simple recipe for my boys. They had fun making them and eating them. Everyone could adjust their own additions to them.
These are really easy to make and as a "light" dinner, we ended up being completely stuffed! (3 adults and 2 kids eating) The only problem is that I'm back on here looking for recipes to use up all the left over wonton wrappers in the package!
I made these for a SuperBowl party and they were a big hit. I used Yves veggie ground round instead of the hamburger to vegetarian-ize the recipe. I also followed other reviewers tips and pre-baked the wonton wrappers (brushed with oil) for 2-3 minutes for an extra crispy shell. Thanks for posting -I will be making these again.
I made this as one of a few appetizers. They looked good in the pan but I couldn't get them out of the pan. I had to trash all of them. I may try them again but this time I will oil the pan. UPDATE Jan.28,2007 made these again, this time oiling the tins, and they came out fine. I'll be making these again.
