Mini Frankfurts in Pastry

I have tried a few times to make these for parties. Never found a perfect recipe, the frankfurts were either cold inside or the pastry was overdone. The I found this recipe a few years back, using tinned frankfurts, perfect solution! Hot in the middle and pastry just right.

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C Cut each sheet of puff pastry into 12 squares. Brush each with tomato sauce. Place a frankfurt in the middle of each square and roll. Brush pastry with egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds if using.
  2. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
