  1. These may be mini...but they are mighty on taste! I used King's Hawiian Rolls (a sweet roll) split in half to resemble a bun and placed a kosher-style dill pickle slice on each burger. After they came out of the oven we placed cheese slices on each and just let them set for a minute and they melted just fine. Everyone gobbled them down like they were going out of style! Thanks for this great recipe, Inez!! :)

  2. These were so tasty. I also used small, sweet rolls which combined with the beef and cheese was great tasting! My husband loved them and commented how perfect they'd be for a party, but I think they were great for just a family dinner. I will make these again. Thanks!

  3. Inez does it again! My daughter spent the night at friends and the hubby was working so my 8 year old son and I had so much fun making these!I also used the King's Hawaiian rolls, we used little dill pickle slices also, before cooking...and after they came out of the oven added a half a slice of Kraft American cheese to each, they were so good and my son really made the whole thing himself! and that really encourages him to actually eat! we both loved these tasty little treats! Really tasty and so much fun to make! Thanks for a great time with my son Inez! and for a neat recipe.

  4. We have done these four times and forgot to review. My husband loves these. Yes, takes time but are yummy. Use a thinner roll so it's not all bread. Maybe use biscuits next time?

  5. These seemed like a lot of work for what you get. Too much onion for my taste.

Tweaks

  1. My kids are very basic eaters. Made the hamburger with just a sprinkle of seasoning salt, used mini Hawaiian buns, several types of cheese and let them add what they wanted. Huge hit.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
