Here's a mince dessert that can be enjoyed during the summer! The recipe comes from a 1952 cookbook(let), 21 "NONE SUCH" Mince Meat Recipes for Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, thanks to my wonderful partner in the current Cookbook Swap! Preparation time does not include the time needed for the hot pudding to cool & set!
- Prepare pudding according to package directions.
- Add mincemeat while pudding is still hot.
- Pour mixture into either a quart bowl or 6 individual-serving bowls, & chill.
We enjoyed this easy and different kind of mincemeat dessert which had such wonderful richness complex flavor layers. Made as written using a Mincemeat which had been made with brandy and was very pleased with how well the butterscotch and brandy went together adding just one more layer to this tasty treat.
