- 315.37 ml sugar
- 118.29 ml Crisco
- 118.29 ml butter, softened
- 2.46 ml vanilla
- 1 large egg
- 1.23 ml almond extract
- 473.18 ml all-purpose flour
- 2.46 ml baking soda
- 2.46 ml cream of tartar
directions
- Preheat oven to 350*.in large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of the sugar, crisco and butter -- beat until light and fluffy.add vanilla, almond extract and egg.blend well -- add flour, baking soda and cream of tartar, mix well.shape dough into 1" balls.roll balls in remaining 1/3 cup sugar -- place 2" apart on ngreased cookie sheet with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
- flatten balls to 1/8" thickness --
- bake at 350* for 7-12 minuts or until edges are light golden brown.
- cool 1 minute on rack on cookie sheet --
- remove from sheets to wire racks to cool completely.

I love cooking, and reading Christian fiction..I have 5 grandchildren..4 boys and 1 spoiled granddaughter...I also have a black cocker spaniel named Tobey..who is very spoiled..Love computer games, cross stitch and reading cookbooks..I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia almost a year ago, on September 26, 2005....was in an out of the hospital for 8 months, doing intensive chemo...I am doing well now, thanks for all the prayers...
