Millie's August Pie

From the August issue of Family Circle magazine. I haven't tried this recipe yet, but it received very good reviews in the magazine. Any kind of fruit may be used.

I make this all the time- all year round with all kinds of fruit combinations! Last night I made it with strawberry rhubarb with a lattice top! Came out amazingly delicious ?

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Fit piecrust into a 9 inch pie dish. Place fruit in pie crust and spread evenly.
  3. Combine half and half, egg, sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt in a small bowl and mix until well blended. Pour over fruit.
  4. Bake for approximately 50 minutes or until center is set. Cool completely before serving.
