This is a simple remedy that works!
- 1⁄2 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- Mix both together in a bowl.
- Soak a washcloth in this mixture.
- Gently pat this mixture on the scorched area of your body.
I was sitting out watching my neice swim in a pool and I hadn't realized that my shoulders and face had got red. I had remembered reading this recipe and thought to give it a try. First of all, I am skin sensitive and absolutely nothing likes my skin!!! Saying that, I didn't care for it on my face as it left a gritty texture to it and it had a tightening effect on the face. I ended up washing it off and using some unscented face cream and one drop of Tea Tree oil and all the tightness in my face eased up almost immediately. I applied the milk/baking soda mixture to the shoulders and the next day they were still a little tight. I think I will stick to my cream and Tea Tree oil. Sorry!
