- Cream lard and butter with sugar.
- Add eggs.
- Add vanilla, baking powder and baking soda.
- Add sour cream.
- Add flour.
- Add oatmeal.
- Add raisins.
- Let stand 1 hour.
- Drop by teaspoonful on baking sheet sprayed with Pam.
- Bake 10 minutes in 350° degree oven or until golden.
these are very cake like cookies and very soft! i actually subbed the lard for pumpkin puree and the raisons for chocolate chips and added some cinnamon.. i have to say they are probably the best pumpkin chocolate cookies i've ever had!!! but plain would be good too if you like a very cakey cookie.. i'd still add cinnamon too. very good cookie, thanks
