- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon cardamom
- 1⁄2 teaspoon allspice
- 1⁄2 teaspoon coriander
- 1⁄2 teaspoon clove
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, crushed
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Combine well and store in jar.
- Use to season rice, lentils, meats, etc.
Lovely blend of spices! Exotic taste! Gives the kitchen a lovely aroma when meal is cooking. Dresses up the plain chicken breasts in a hurry!!!
This is similar to the spice blend that we call Harissa, which is a common ingredient of middle eastern/Moroccan recipes. It's delicious. This could be used in recipes that call for Harissa.
So far I have used it on lamb chops and in pumpkin soup and loved it.
