My husband wanted burgers and I wanted something a little more interesting, so I came up with this little gem last night! You won't be dissapointed!

  1. Combine ground beef, egg, onion, garlic, nuts, lemon juice and spices in a large bowl.
  2. Form patties and fry over medium-high heat until cooked through (about 10-15 minutes).
  3. Serve in naan and top with hummus, and if you're feeling adventurous, a little chili oil to spice it up!

Excellent burgers! I thought I had to add the hummus to the burger mix, before reading the instructions .. I added about a quarter cup to the burger mix anyway, and they were the greatest burgers ever!! Thank you!!

What a wonderful combination of ingredients, you did a great job! I followed your instructions exactly. I used fresh mint from my garden and served it on pita bread. Loved the addition of the hummus. This is a great change of pace. Thank you for sharing.

These were absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS! I had these on nan (which is a little softer than the pita) with some feta cheese and a slather of yogurt and a little chopped onion. The pine nuts gave a nice little crunch there! I really like these a LOT! They almost tasted like a gyro (one of my favorites)! Thanks, Canarygirl!
