This is another very old recipe that is enjoyed not only by the children but the adults as well. While good anytime I like to prepare this for the children's holiday tray. Quick, easy and good.

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Mix peanut butter, syrup and brown sugar over low heat until melted and well dissolved.
  2. Stir in the Cornflakes and Rice Krispies.
  3. Press into a buttered 8x8 pan.
  4. Cool, then slice into squares.

These are so decandent. They're a snap to prepare and my hubby gave them rave reviews when I made them around Christmas time. I forgot to save the recipe in my cookbook. Thanks to Diana #2 for posting it as one of her "thank-you" recipes for the Kraft Hockeyville competition, it is back in my hands. Can't wait to surprise dh with a batch. Diana, the picture looks as good as these taste.

Gerry, these go together like lightening. Good thing too cause they will disappear just as fast. Billy called this 'Voting Food'. These are really wonderful little treats. I love the mixture of cereals and of course the peanut butter. I was quite surprised, they weren't as sweet as I would have thought. The only change I made was to drizzle chocolate over the top once they were cut. Isn't there a law somewhere that you can't have peanut butter without chocolate? :) Honoured to make this as a "Thank You" for voting for Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia in the 2010 Kraft Hockeyville Competition.
