These are the best brussels sprouts I have ever had. I remember as a child disliking them, and have only tried them again recently. I really enjoy the baby brussel sprouts cooked this way- they are much sweeter than the larger brussels. You can steam the brussel sprouts if preferred

Jubes it does not get any better than this for quick to the able delights. The colors stayed true with the steam from the microwave. Tossed everything over quinoa pasta for myself. Fantastic and so easy. I love the almonds to give that bit of crunch and decadent flavor to these green little morsels. I had to cook mine for 8.5 min in a 900 watt microwave.   1. Place butter and almonds in a microwave bowl, cook on HIGH 2 minutes. Stir after one minute.
  2. Place trimmed sprouts in shallow dish with two teaspoons of water. Cover and cook on HIGH for 5 minutes or until tender, toss with almonds and butter.
