I used milk enstead of water and this is AMAZING! Not quite the brownie in the oven but amazing for the microwave. Definitely will be making this again when I need a quick chocolate fix
I saw everyone saying to use milk instead of water, so I went one step further and used my favorite vanilla creamer (2 tbsp + 1/4 tsp to replace the liquid from the vanilla extract) instead and only used about half a tablespoon of sugar. I microwaved it for 60 seconds and it is rich and moist, so good for a chocolate fix!
I followed the directions the "brownie" was as hard as a rock, uncooked, and my cup burned (my cup is microwaveable)
This was amazing as is but even better when you add a tablespoon of milk, a few chocolate chips, & mini marshmallows. Yummy.
Fantastic recipe with my improvisations: I omitted the vanilla, and replaced half the all purpose flour with self raising, the water with milk and then added a few bits of grated and crushed milk chocolate and sprinkled some nuts on top. I also microwaved on medium for a minute, then on high for about ten seconds. Perfect for me, hubby and our son to share as a reward as we make progress with potty training.
I used these ingredients which made it super fudgy and rich. Super delicious! 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted 2 tablespoons milk 1/4 egg white 1?4 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 dash salt 2 tablespoons dark muscovado sugar 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1 dollop of Nutella swirled through the batter. (My photo is in the white bowl with the blue pattern)
I followed the advice of others, 1 tbsp white sugar, 1 tbsp brown sugar. Maybe it was too much cocoa powder, not enough sugar, but the brownie was not sweet enough, and had a bitter flavor. The 60 seconds was enough. If I were to try this again, I'd probably use sweet condensed milk, add another tblspoon sugar (3 tbsp total), and make sure my cocoa was more leveled (I was sloppy with it).
I keep trying to get a good brownie in a cup recipe. Came by another and it wasn't that good but still edible. I'm sorry but this one we couldn't even eat half of it. Maybe with corrections or less coco powder. But as is. It's a no
Was the brownie supposed to come out of the microwave bubbling....?
Best thing ever!!! I make it all the time when I'm craving due to a lack of baked goods in my house. It's fantastic.
