A sweet and easy monkey bread made in the microwave. I haven't tried it yet but wanted to post it for safekeeping. This one is from an old Hawaiian Electric Company cookbook.
- 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
- 1⁄3 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1⁄2 cup chopped nuts
- Separate biscuits and cut into quarters. In a 5-cup microwave tube pan, combine brown sugar, butter and water. Microwave on high power for 1 minute. Stir in nuts.
- Add biscuit pieces and coat with sugar mixture; arrange evenly in pan.
- Rotating pan 1/2 turn after 2 minutes, microwave on medium high power for 5 minutes. Let stand 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
