This is good, but to make it truly authentic you must use Picante Clamato instead of V-8 and never-ever lemons. Always limes.

This is the national drink of Costa Rica but to do it right you need the juice of the lemon maderina (an orange fleshed lime with a really ugly green and brown skin)

This is quite good and very refreshing. Totally different take on beer! It is however, not for someone who wants to maintain the flavor of the beer. It is more like a cocktail and reminds me of my friend's margaritas that she makes with beer. The lime dominates this drink. We added a few extra dashes of worcestershire and Tobasco and it mellowed out the lime flavor. My friend added some bloody mary mix to hers and it was quite good as well... but I stuck with the Michelada. This is very good and would be an awesome drink to take boating! Thanks for posting katie!

I'm mexican, and I love this drink. Before dinner very cold on a very hot afternoon is the best. Instead of water, moisten the rims of the glass with the juice of the lime, it tastes better with the salt.
