You find these cookies at Christmas in the stores. These are a favorite cookie of my sisters.
- Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add flour and chopped nuts. Roll golfball-sized balls of dough in your hand.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes, or until light brown.
- Roll warm cookies in powered sugar.
These are easy and simple, and very similar to the ones I've been making for years! The amounts in my cookies are a bit different, and they use pecans instead of walnuts. I did not make these golf ball sized, as I have trouble with the smaller ones staying together. The taste is really good with the walnuts, and I'm glad I tried them this way! :-) Thanks for sharing, bssagman! I can hardly wait for tomorrow when the little ones will sample. This is excellent. I make this with the grandchildren because it it is a simple recipe and the kids love to roll the dough in their hands and powder their noses with a dab of flour. Plus it is great tasting!!!
This is the same recipe I have used for years. I made these tonight and they really melt in your mouth. Great recipe.
