The meat mixture was pretty good - not nearly as spicy as I was expecting. We liked the combo of the meat & topping but found the topping to be a little too crunchy - would have liked it to be more cornbread-like.

Loved it! Quick and easy to make and tastes great, can't get any better than that! I used ground turkey and green chilis rather than ground beef and bell pepper. Thanks Cookin-Jo, I'll definitely be making this again! Made for Chef Alphabet Tag, please see my rating system as I rate tougher than most.

DH and I both enjoyed this recipe! Instead of regular tomato sauce I used El Pato which has a kick! I also sprinkled some grated cheddar cheese on top the last 5 minutes of baking!! I think next time, I will also add some chili beans to the meat mixture!! Thank you Cookin-jo!!

This is a great different Shepherd's Pie - First time eating cornmeal and I enjoyed it!! My bf loved it! Had a nice kick to it! Liked the mix of ground beef with corn (instead of layering). Thanks Cookin-jo!
