    Cookin-jo's Note:

The topping on this "pie" is really wonderful. Make it first and let it sit while you prepare the meat filling. Use the jalapeno if you want some heat, or use dried chili flakes.

The meat mixture was pretty good - not nearly as spicy as I was expecting. We liked the combo of the meat & topping but found the topping to be a little too crunchy - would have liked it to be more cornbread-like.

Loved it! Quick and easy to make and tastes great, can't get any better than that! I used ground turkey and green chilis rather than ground beef and bell pepper. Thanks Cookin-Jo, I'll definitely be making this again! Made for Chef Alphabet Tag, please see my rating system as I rate tougher than most.

DH and I both enjoyed this recipe! Instead of regular tomato sauce I used El Pato which has a kick! I also sprinkled some grated cheddar cheese on top the last 5 minutes of baking!! I think next time, I will also add some chili beans to the meat mixture!! Thank you Cookin-jo!!
