So tasty! My husband loved it. The lime juice is a must and serving it with additional slices of lime is a good idea. I didn't have a jalapeno, so I added ortega diced chiles. Will definitely make this again.

Fantastic Beans! I have made this recipe many times since 02/2009. However, to give it that extra wow factor I add 1/2 chopped sweet onion, 1 packet of Sazon Goya Mexican seasoning packet and I use low sodium chicken broth. Very authentic.

So easy and delicious! I made this for a party and everyone raved about it. Goes well with mexcian dishes. I omitted the jalapeno and it still had a great taste. It sounds too easy and simple but is actually very good and tastes like you went to a lot of trouble! I will definitely make this again.

Great taste! Left out the jalapeno and added 1/4 cup jar salsa at the end, ran it through the blender and made a mild bean dip for my daughter's kindergarten class!

I substituted low fat sour cream dollop with the jack cheese and topped with chopped yellow onion! Less calories and super yummy. Lime really added.

This dish was easy and delicious. I substituted pinto beans for the black beans since my husband and I like them better. We served it with fish tacos and fresh pico de gallo from this site. Although I got worried that the liquid wouldn't cook down, it turned out just fine. Thanks for sharing!

This was awesome!! I love black beans. I order them any chance I get in restaurants. Although I've made recipes that call for them, I've never actually made it as a dish at home. I was not disappointed. I make some type of beans for my family at least once a week and this is definitely going in my rotation. Only thing was I "forgot" how salty broth can be and salted it before I tasted it. Next time I don't even think I'll add any salt. Thanks!!

Fantastic beans! I was worried about them coming together, because they looked so runny with the entire can of chicken broth, but they turned out wonderfully. I used pepper jack cheese, which added another nice layer of spice. Will definitely be making these again!
