I got this recipe from a Charleston Junior League cookbook. This is always a hit on the buffet at my Christmas party. Think of this appetizer as a very fresh bloody mary. (Cook time is time allowed for marination.)

These are one of my standards. They are a hit wherever they go; and are a nice light appetizer in the summer months. I use grape tomatoes and more vodka. The biggest problem I have is keeping the kids away!

I had high hopes for these, based on the reviews, so I made them for a Christmas Eve brunch. Maybe I didn't pierce the tomatoes deeply enough, but I felt as though they hadn't soaked up any of the vodka, even though I had marinated them overnight. They didn't taste bad, but they didn't get rave reviews either - mostly people said that it was an "interesting idea". I might try these again, but I'll be bringing a second dish just in case.

These are GREAT. My DH made these one day to have something for a snack. I will be making these to serve at parties. Thank you, for this easy yummy recipe.
