ingredients

• FIRST LAYER

• 118.29 ml Crisco
• 236.59 ml sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 2.46 ml salt
• 354.88 ml flour
• 4.92 ml baking powder

• SECOND LAYER

• 2.46 ml vanilla
• 236.59 ml brown sugar, packed
• 2 egg whites, beaten stiff
• 177.44 ml chopped pecans

directions

1. Cream Crisco and sugar and add eggs, well beaten. Add salt and vanilla -- sift baking powder with flour and mix well.
2. Spread in long shallow pan and cover with second layer.and bake in 350°. Cut into squares when cool.
3. Bake till browned.
4. Be sure to note the size of pan and baking times to correct before posting.
